OXHY in Pompei for Timeless Entanglements: Time, Memory and Quantum Reality
In Pompeii, on November 14, 2025, in a place suspended in time, to talk about the physics that is changing the future. OXHY participates in Timeless Entanglements: Time, Memory and Quantum Reality– Pompeii 2025, part of Quantum Nexus, the international event that closes the Year of Quantum Science and Technology, bringing together scientists, institutions, and innovators in Pompeii to explore the dialogue between historical heritage and quantum revolution.
Organized by the EUDORA APS-ETS Association (formerly MQC2 – Macroscopic Quantum Coherence and Computing Association), in collaboration with the CNR, the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, the event celebrates the deep connection between the Neapolitan school of quantum physics and the second quantum revolution that is now driving the frontiers of research.
From the origins of quantum physics to a new generation of technologies
Three Nobel Prize winners in Physics will be speaking in Pompeii: Anthony J. Leggett (2003), John Michael Kosterlitz (2016), and Giorgio Parisi (2022), along with leading figures in Italian and international research. It’s a symbolic moment, recalling the extraordinary scientific tradition of Naples and the school of superconductivity founded by Antonio Barone. The pioneering experiments on macroscopic quantum effects led by Paolo Silvestrini in the 1980s and later by Berardo Ruggiero paved the way for superconducting qubits and quantum computing.
OXHY represents the natural evolution of that vision, applying the principles of quantum physics to sustainable energy production and management through its proprietary technology, Oxhycell.
“Quantum research leads us to rediscover the deep roots of science,” explains Roberto Germano, CTO and co-founder of OXHY. “Today we understand that solid-state physics and biology itself are based on quantum principles, a concept that is only now emerging strongly, sealed by the Nobel Prizes in Physics in 2022 and 2025. Pompeii reminds us that the most innovative future always arises from dialogue with our origins.”
A bridge between knowledge and innovation
The central theme of the event, “Timeless Entanglement: Time, Memory, and Quantum Reality”, highlights how quantum physics represents not only a prolific field of scientific research but also a new way of understanding the world. In this scenario, OXHY actively contributes to the second quantum revolution by developing technologies that transform theoretical principles into concrete solutions for sustainable energy production.
Together with the EUDORA APS-ETS Association and its researchers, OXHY looks forward to future collaborations aimed at developing new materials and applications related to emerging quantum technologies. This commitment confirms the company’s vocation to be an integral part of the scientific and industrial ecosystem that is laying the foundations for the next energy paradigm.
A presence that looks far ahead
OXHY’s participation in Timeless Entanglements: Time, Memory and Quantum Reality – Pompeii 2025 is just a small part of our journey that combines cutting-edge science, culture, and sustainability. From academic research to industrial prototypes, OXHY continues to develop solutions that transform quantum physics into real impact: clean energy, smart devices, and new functional materials.
OXHY brings not only its technology to Pompeii, but also its cultural mission: to promote a new way of thinking about energy and knowledge, balancing science, history, and the future.
